At Rise and Shine Farm, we prioritize the natural behaviors and well-being of our chickens, allowing them to explore their natural instincts. From dust bathing to establishing pecking order and yearly molting, we let our chickens be chickens. By raising them on pasture, they have access to a diverse range of bugs, grasses, and forages, ensuring a varied and nutrient-rich diet. Their diet is also supplemented with an organic, non-GMO, soy-free feed from a local mill.

Our hens are not confined to cages. Instead, they are trained to lay eggs in nesting boxes within their mobile coop. This shelter provides shade during the summer and helps retain heat in the winter, ensuring their comfort throughout the year.
